Just as ROF 6 was built on precision, resilience, and protection, we carry that same mindset into our work today.
This memorial is at the the site of the munitions filling factory which comprised approximately 927 acres of land, located at now Birchwood Forest Park Warrington. It was one of 16 such munitions filling factories located throughout the United Kingdom during World War II and was designated R.O.F. No. 6.
Thousands of hardworking women at Royal Ordnance Factory 6 played a vital role in the war effort, working tirelessly in demanding and often dangerous conditions to help secure the nation.
